Auction Day at the Coleman Livestock Auction Barn

52nd Rehab Round-up
The Edington family is once again partnering with West Texas Rehabilitation
Center for the 52nd Round-Up for Rehab on Wednesday, October 19th at the
Coleman Livestock Auction barn. As a private, non-profit organization, the
Rehab is dedicated to providing outpatient care annually to over 28,000
children and adults with disabilities, regardless of their financial
circumstance. Through the years, numerous Coleman area residents have used
and continue to utilize the Rehab’s services to overcome the disabling
effects of illness or injury.
The Coleman area auction is one of several special Round-Up events that
offer a great experience. The Auction will begin at 11:00 am with the Rehab
Chuckwagon offering beans, cornbread and campfire cobbler. Coleman High
School Student Council members will be on hand to serve up the meal in their
support of the Rehab Center. Lots of items will be available for the auction
including livestock, agricultural, general merchandise, crafts, baked goods
and more.
Local chairmen and Rehab friends heading up the 2011 Coleman County Round-Up
program are Bobbie Edington, Bob & Sylvia Edington, Mike Edington, Maureen
Hickman, Wayne McClure, Jay Davis, Tommy Sloan, Mitch & Bobbi Birdwell, Dwin
& Karen Nanny and Tony Williams. Others with key roles in this year’s
program are general chairmen Mike Alexander and Randy Carson of Abilene,
Jody Frey of San Angelo and Bob Helmers of Christoval. Honorary Round-Up
chairman continues to be legendary cowboy entertainer Red Steagall. They
join with other volunteers to ask the people of West Texas to help Rehab
meet the outpatient rehabilitation needs of all who turn to the Center for
assistance.
“The early support of business friends -- B-4 Farms, Bar-G Feedyard, Basic
Energy, Group IV Electric Cooperatives, Raford, Rafe & Mark Hargrove
families, H-E-B Food Stores, Lone Star Beef, Stamford Insurance/America
First Insurance and Strongpoint/Pied Piper Pet & Wildlife – help Round-Up
for Rehab begin on a positive note in otherwise challenging times,” said
WTRC President/CEO Woody Gilliland. “What donors need to know is that we
never take their support for granted … and we work hard every day to
continue to deserve such loyal friendship.”
For more event information contact WTRC-Abilene at 325-660-8338. Coleman
area residents wishing to support the Rehab Center through donations or

Thank you to everyone that joined us for our 50th Anniversary. It was a
great day to gather and reflect on the past and look forward to the future
with old and new friends.
